High-volume automated robotic device processing provider Cyculus Services is integrating Renew Kings refurb tech into its automated device processing facility in Göppingen, Germany.
Renew Kings’ device screen scratch-removal, polishing, and cosmetic restoration technology will be combined with Cyculus’ advanced robotic grading and testing platform.
The partnership is expected to create a new European benchmark for device refurbishment. Devices will move seamlessly from automated diagnostics to cosmetic restoration, returning to a near as-new condition both functionally and visually.
The polishing service will be available to all Cyculus customers as part of its Total Care offering later this month..Renew Kings will make polishing services directly available to European businesses that are not currently Cyculus customers, expanding access to premium refurbishment across Europe.
“Our mission has always been to extend the life of devices and maximise their value while reducing e-waste,” said Chris Pattihis, CEO of Renew Kings. “Partnering with Cyculus brings our polishing expertise into an automated, scalable European platform. Together, we are setting a new gold standard for sustainable device refurbishment.”

Every device identified by Cyculus’ AI-driven systems as needing cosmetic attention will be routed through Renew Kings’ specialist polishing division. The two companies expect this to improve turnaround times, resale value, and consumer satisfaction.
“
This collaboration reflects Cyculus’ commitment to innovation and circularity,” said Fergal Donovan, CEO of Cyculus. “By integrating Renew Kings’ world-class polishing capabilities into our automated workflows, we can now offer customers a truly end-to-end service that combines precision, quality, and sustainability at scale.
“The partnership dramatically boosts refurbished device resale values across Europe. Ddevices achieve a near-new appearance that commands an eight per cent to15 per cent higher prices than unpolished equivalents. In-house polishing accelerates processing time, reducing inventory time, and preserving one per cent to two per cent% of value for each week saved, enabling refurbishers to capitalise on market peaks and avoid depreciation”, Donovan added.

The polishing service will be available to all Cyculus customers as part of the company’s Total Care offering. In addition, Renew Kings will make its polishing services directly available to European businesses that are not currently Cyculus customers, expanding access to premium refurbishment across the continent.
Gold standard
Renew Kings defines its “gold standard” for refurbishment through abenchmarks. For example, ldevices are processed within hours of leaving the Cyculus diagnostic system. Around half of all devices arrive with visible scratches that can be fully polished and restored.
“The refurbishment process extends the functional lifespan of each device by an estimated two years. Devices restored to “Good” or “Excellent” cosmetic condition achieve resale values 20 to 40 per cent higher than“Fair” or “Poor,” based on market data from platforms including Back Market and Amazon. By tracking and publishing we are able to demonstrate transparency and maintain accountability in its processes” he explained.
Renew Kings usesd non-invasive scratch removal process is to restore screens without compromising structural integrity by using speciapised abrasives, compounds and precision tools.
Renew Kings has designed bespoke modular polishing machinery allows polishing stations to be integrate into automated workflows such as those used at Cyculus. Final quality assurance is carried out through Cyculus’ automated grading systems. Only devices meeting the agreed visual standard are released to market.
