B2B dealer Evolve Telecom has acquired its contemporary CBS Communications as it shapes its business for the next phase of the market through unified communications.

Cambridge-based CBS Communications has been acquired for an undisclosed sum, and grows Evolve Telecom’s base to over 30,000 connections primarily in the small corporate and SME markets.

Evolve Telecom has the capacity to connect all works, but primarily works with Vodafone and is one of the operator’s Premier Partners.

CBS Communciations connects customers through Vodafone Business Choice, and is also a Vodafone Premier Partner

Evolve Telecom managing director Mark Gordon (pictured) said: “The acquisition complements Evolve Telecom’s existing business and provides an ideal opportunity…to grow its customer base and geographical reach.

“It will further provide an excellent opportunity to expand the business with the imminent commercial launch of OneNet, Vodafone’s new unified communications offering.”

Evolve Telecom is also opening new corporate sales office in Central London, headed up by former epay commercial director Andrew Dellow.
