Vodafone Platinum Partner recognised by Business in the Community for “integrating sustainability issues” into its Swindon-based dealership

Excalibur Communications has won an award for “Responsible Business Practices” at the Business in the Community Awards in Bristol.

The Vodafone Platinum Partner was recognised by charity BITC for integrating sustainability practices in to its business by supporting a number of charities and causes in its home Swindon area.

Contributions Excalibur has made include a bi-monthly hosting of Swindon Soup event, and its support for Bath’s Royal United Hospital with its Cancer Care Campaign.

Excalibur CEO James Phipps said: “It is an honour to receive this Responsible Business Award because it shows what a positive impact businesses can make when they manage growth responsibly and also operate responsibly as an employer, supplier and customer.

“At Excalibur we support a large number of causes in Wiltshire and beyond, as well as helping organisations hold events at our Cloud space in Arclite House. We enjoy bringing people together, so it is heartening to be recognised by Business in the Community as a company actively involved in building a more sustainable future here in the South West.”

The award was given to the unified communications dealer at a ceremony held at St George’s Hospital in Bristol last week.

BITC is a charity that provides a range of services, practical guidance and creative solutions that help businesses review, measure and report on a sustainable basis. Prince Charles is its President.

BITC area director (West) Raksha Pattni said: “We firmly believe that responsible business is not just a better way to do business but it is the only way to do business.”
