Fergal Donovan to leave PCS Wireless at end of August

PCS Wireless regional president (Europe) Fergal Donovan, is leaving the company after four years at the end of the month by mutual consent, It is understood he sought an exit from PCS Wireless and has nothing fixed in regard to his next challenge.

Donovan joined the secondary device distributor from Data Select Group where he was CEO. Prior to the four years, he spent at Data Select, Donovan has also held positions at Ingram Micro, Brightpoint, Medion and Motorola.

There will be an internal restructuring of the company’s European operation and no direct replacement is expected to be announced.

PCS Wireless was founded in 2001 in New York, where the company is based and began as a wireless device reseller. He was hired to set up and drive the local business for PCS Wireless in Europe and has overseen strategic investments in staff, businesses and facilities

The company said “ PCS Wireless moves into the next phase of its global development strategy, the structure of the European business will adapt to the changing needs of the business and industry at large’.

 “We are very grateful for the significant role that Fergal played in the setting up of our business and operations in Europe over the past four years.
