Unused tech will be recycled and redistributed with proceeds going to nominated charities

Genuine Solutions Group has partnered up with The British Exporters Association (BExA) to maximise the potential of redundant technology to support UK charities.

The partnership will see Genuine Solutions Group – which specialises in recovering and recycling unwanted mobile tech devices – offer its recycling solution to BExA and its members.

It is estimated there are currently 125 million used devices in the UK that can be recycled and transformed into charity donations.

Charities have been hit hard during the pandemic, with a recent report published by the Charities Aid Foundation estimating income loss to UK charities at around £6.4bn.

Through the partnership, BExA members are invited to take part in the recycling initiative, by arranging the collection of personal and/or company owned devices.

From there Genuine Solutions Group will recycle and re-distribute these devices, with proceeds generated from this given to their nominated charity partners.

Genuine Solutions Group CEO Christian McBride said: “Genuine Solutions Group is delighted to be able to work closely with BExA and fellow members to bring value from discarded tech waste and raise funds for their charity partners in these unprecedented times.”

“We encourage our members to make the most  of this opportunity to support both their sustainability goals and their respective charity partners,” added BExA Co Chairman Marcus Dolman.
