Dealers JAG and Go Mobile have confirmed their joint venture, with Go Mobile initially taking a 50 per cent stake in southwest retail chain JAG.
The combined retail chain will stretch to 114 stores, and bear the Go Mobile signage on account of its specific branding and superor supply contracts. The deal will enable JAG stores to also sell Vodafone, T-Mobile and Three, alongside Orange, and to range Apple iPhone handsets also.
The pair expect to enter the Go Mobile estate into the new joint venture company in the next three-to-six months, with JAG founder John George and Go Mobile boss Iain Humphrey continuing each with 50 per cent stakes.
George will head sales and marketing operations, and Humphrey will take charge of supply and logistics via his Shebang distribution business.
Humphrey said: “This is about two entrepreneurs with huge experience and insight joining together to create a bigger and better retail operation.”
