The GSMA has launched a cloud-based service to help mobile operators accelerate the rollout of next-generation device features across iOS and Android.
Called GSMA Entitlements, the platform was developed with telecom software specialist NetLync. It allows operators and MVNOs to activate and manage services such as eSIM transfers, satellite messaging, cross-platform RCS, 5G data management, VoWiFi, and companion devices.
Traditionally, onboarding new services has required months of custom integration work for each device specification—work that must be repeated whenever Apple, Google, Samsung, or other manufacturers update their requirements. GSMA Entitlements aims to cut that process down to four to six weeks, reducing time, cost, and complexity.
The service combines software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service capabilities, and integrates with the GSMA’s existing Network Settings Exchange.
“GSMA Entitlements marks a major step forward in simplifying mobile feature activation,” said Sianne Ryder, General Manager, GSMA Services. “Our platform removes the integration burden, shortens deployment times, and helps operators of all sizes deliver seamless experiences across devices and operating systems.”

The platform complies with manufacturer entitlement specifications and has already been adopted by some operators. Early trials have seen deployments completed within weeks.
It provides operators with a centralized way to manage features across iOS and Android—from Apple Watch connectivity and iMessage authentication to Android Wear support and EAP-AKA device authentication. Advanced APIs and reporting tools also add AI-driven diagnostics and performance monitoring.
Apple requires entitlement systems for services such as eSIM Quick Transfer, FaceTime, and iMessage, while Android manufacturers mandate support for eSIM, RCS, 5G, and companion devices. Without compliant entitlement systems, operators risk service gaps and delayed rollouts.
“We’re enabling operators of every size to integrate new features in weeks, measure performance in real time, and confidently be ready for the future,” said Emir Aboulhosn, CEO and Co-Founder of NetLync.
