Hammer Mobile has launched its first ever rugged 5G smartphone, the Hammer Blade 5G.

The handset is available exclusively through Elite Mobile, after the Poland-based rugged vendor struck a partnership with the UK telco distributor last month.

The latest smartphone is an updated version of the previous Blade device from Hammer, which is seeking to grow its UK presence.

Specs

The phone has a 6.3-inch display and meets IK07, IP69 and MIL-STD-810G standards for shock, water and dust resistance, as well as coming with a waterproof USB-C connector.

The Blade 5G is powered by an 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor and has 6GB of RAM, as well as supporting near-field communications and eSIM capabilities.

The phone also comes with a 5,000mAh battery and has a quad-camera set-up, with a 48MP main camera, plus a 16MP camera on the front.

“The Blade 5G combines practicality, modernity and athletic performance, with all the durability and rugged qualities,” said Hammer account manager Charlotte Gold.
