HTC One Max goes on sale at Carphone Warehouse

Latest addition to the manufacturer’s One portfolio available for free from £52 a month on contract

The HTC One Max has gone on sale at Carphone Warehouse, online and across the retailer’s 800 UK stores.

It is available on O2, free for £52 a month with unlimited minutes, texts and 5GB of data. Customers can also pay an additional £5 a month and receive 8GB of data.

The One Max is the latest addition to the manufacturer’s One smartphone range this year. The One was released in April, while the One Mini went on sale in August.

It runs the manufacturer’s Sense 5.5 user interface, is powered by a quad-core 1.7GHz processor and has a 5.9-inch HD screen

It features an in-built fingerprint scanner on the back of the device to enable users to lock or unlock the screen and launch up to three favourite applications by assigning a finger to each.

The smartphone features HTC’s UltraPixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front camera and dual capture to enable users to simultaneously shoot with both cameras.

The One Max records video in HD and includes ‘Video Highlights’, which combines photos and videos to create a small film with a soundtrack and visual theme.

Other features include 16GB or 32GB on in-built memory that can be expanded with a microSD card, with 50GB of additional free Google Drive online storage available exclusively to One Max owners.

There is a 3,300mAh embedded battery with the optional HTC Power Flip Case available, which provides 1,150mAh battery expansion as well as protection for the smartphone.
