Invites sent out for online event, with reports suggesting manufacturer will unveil the Desire 10 Pro and Lifestyle

HTC has sent out invites that tease the launch of new smartphones – rumoured to be the Desire 10 Pro and Lifestyle.

The manufacturer has invited the mobile media to tune into htc.com/launch next Wednesday at 8am BST, with the tagline #BeEdgier.

This website currently features three, 17-second teaser videos, which suggest the devices will come with a rear fingerprint sensor, wide-angle 150-degree camera and gold edges.

According to reports, the Pro will be the higher-specced of the two devices, although details of its features are currently unknown.

However, several leaks have suggested the Lifestyle will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon process and run the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

Other rumoured features include a 5.5-inch HD touchscreen, 13 megapixel rear and five megapixel front cameras with HD recording, 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of in-built memory.
