Bramwell has been at the distributor since 2012, and takes on the newly-created role following a large reorganisation of its mobility division

Ingram Micro Mobility has promoted senior business manager Matt Bramwell to a new role as its new head of mobile, Mobile news understands.

Bramwell took up the new role at the beginning of December, replacing Richard Wills in overseeing the mobile at the distributor.  Wills departed Ingram last month to become the new director of mobile at rival Westcoast.

It follows a major restructure of its mobility division, including the closure of its Verwood office in August.

Bramwell has been at Ingram since 2012, when he joined form Data Select, and has had several roles as senior business manager overseeing both the Samsung Note/tablet account, and also Acer and Fujitsu, according to his LinkedIn.

Ingram Micro Mobility refused to comment on the appointment.
