Ingram Micro to acquire Docdata for $175m

European provider of order fulfillment, return logistics and online payment services expected to contribute more than $150 million in annual services revenue to Ingram Micro

Ingram Micro is to acquire Dutch e-commerce fulfilment business Docdata for $175 million (£113 million). The deal is expected to close before the end of this year, subject to regulatory approval and closing conditions.

Docdata, which Ingram Micro expects to contribute more than $150 million in annual services revenue to it, will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary.

The company’s CEO Michiel Alting von Geusau will continue to lead the company, reporting directly to Ingram Micro executive vice president of commerce and fulfilment solutions Ken Beyer.

Docdata, which was established in 1997,is a European provider of order fulfillment, returns logistics and online payments services, providing commerce solutions to retailers, brands and start-ups, such as ASOS, Toys’R’Us, HP and House of Fraser.

It currently handles between 125,000 and 250,000 orders on a daily basis, with operations in Witney, Oxfordshire, as well as the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Poland and France.
