Judgement Day for Mobile News Awards 2022

Industry experts judge record-number of 112 entries (beats 85 entries in 2020)

Fifteen mobile industry professionals gathered at the London InterContinental Park lane Hotel today to adjudicate a record 112 entries for the Mobile News Awards 2022.

They will be considering 21 categories including Best Customer Service, Best Innovative Product, Best Environmental Initiative, Best Device Distributor, Best Secondary Market Provider, Best 5G Application, BEST MVNO, Best Airtime Portal, Best Online Retailer, Best Accessories Manufacturer, and Best B2B Reseller.

This year’s categories have been revamped to reflect the changing dynamics of the mobile industry with new categories such as Best Covid Response Initiative, with the Best Secondary Market Provider proving especially popular.

This year’s judges are Bav Majithia (ex Genuine Solutions), Paul Harrison (Huawei), Jonathan Santaub (VP Customer Success at Go Instore), Simon Rockman (Chief of Staff Telet Research), Robert Caunt (CCS Insight), Nick Muir (ex-Bullit), Andy Tow (ex-Avenir), Phil Sheppard (ex-Three), Andrew Kidd (ex-Xiaomi), Joanna Orphanou (ex-O2), Richard Baxendale (ex-mobilephonesdirect.com), William Dalingwater (WJD Repairs), Ben Dowd (Lebara), Simon Johnson (Tesco Mobile), Ed Hemburrow (EIP). No companies associated with the judges have entered.
