Distributor will supply all handsets for EE-owned MVNO LIFE Mobile to sell through it’s website

Brightstar has won an exclusive distribution deal with MVNO LIFE Mobile worth up to 100,000 handsets per year.

Mobile News understands the agreement sees the distributor select and supply all handsets for LIFE to be sold via its website.

Brightstar is also advising the budget MVNO, which piggybacks off the EE network, on product pricing, with all stock stored at its warehouse in Crewe.

LIFE,which is headquartered in Newcastle-Under-Lyme in Staffordshire, was established in January 2013 by Phones 4u. It was acquired by EE for around £5 million last October – a month after Phones 4u was placed into administration.

The company has around 85,000 customers and offers 12-month contracts providing 3G connections on tariffs from £4.49 per month.

Exclusive distribution

It is the third major con- tract win for Brightstar in the MVNO space this year. In January, it was awarded an exclusive distribution contract to supply the Post Office’s MVNO with handsets, SIM cards and accessories.

The distributor followed this in February by securing exclusive rights to supply Vodafone MVNO Talkmobile with up to 200,000 handsets per year.
