Industry veteran leaves company after 11 months over disagreements with the direction the business was being taken in

Tony Lloyd-Weston has left real-time provider of wireless information solutions Wordlink Group having been appointed in October 2009 as the company’s director of global group sales.

Prior to joining Wordlink Lloyd-Weston was managing director of O2 B2B mobile service provider EasyAir. He was previously at Martin Dawes Communications, now part of the Telefónica Group, where he was directly responsible for the first mobile banking service delivered for The Cooperative Bank, in conjunction with Vodafone.

Lloyd-Weston said: “It had become obvious that despite my best endeavours, I could no longer continue to work with the Wordlink Group management board in the direction they chose to manage the business.

“I am now committed and working on other exciting opportunities to build a portfolio of class-leading innovative mobile applications, products and services together with tier-1 level hosting and streaming services, with a mobile network operator, providing additional channel distribution partners and significant revenue streams to their already successful business.”
