Top tier turnout for mobile industry’s biggest night out
A top crowd of nearly 600 mobile channel professionals saw the biggest group of double winners in the history of the Mobile News Awards,
Sky Mobile, Plan,com, Belkin International, Vodafone Business and Music Magpie all scooped two awards each in the Awards ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge last night where hundreds of mobile industry guests parties until 2am.
Vodafone Business left the building with two trophies for Best 5G User Case and Best Network for Business).
Sky Mobile won Best Customer Service for Consumers and Best Innovative Service (Piggybank).
Music Magpie won Best Online Retailer and Best Secondary Market Provider.
Belkin International scored in Best Accessory Manufacturer and Best Environmental and Sustainability Programme.
Plan,com collected the awards for Best MVNO and Best Airtime Partner Portal
A total of 111 entries competed for the top award in 21 categories judged by 16 mobile industry experts who spent a day at the InterContinental Park Lane business centre discussing and scrutinising 111 entries (above).
The judges were: Clive Bayley, Afi Chaudhary, Shan Vyas, Lizzie Bailey, Karl Liriano. Dane Hipkin, Mark Curtis-Wood, Gareth Elliott, Ru Bhikhar, Peter Richardson. Runar Bjorlhovde, Aman Bachu, Andy Coughlin, Simon Dunn, Paul Nield, Steve Fraser.
The most competitive categories were Best Customer Service for Business and Best Secondary Market Provider which attracted a dozen entries each, Best Online Retailer (9) and Best Customer Service for Consumers (7).
