Mobile Fun has opened its second UK office, which will act as the international hub for its growing overseas business.

The new premises is based in Birmingham Science Park in Aston, around a mile away from its headquarters in the Midlands city.

Fifteen employees will initially work from the office from the current toal of 85, and will be joined by others as the company continues its recruitment drive.

Last month Mobile Fun managing director Mohammed Hussain told Mobile News he was looking to recruit up to 10 new members of staff by the end of March 2014 to focus on international growth.

The international team will provide customer service and translation across 11 different languages. The latest move follows the appointment of native speakers to service Polish, Japanese and Russain customers.

Mobile Fun currently has a presence in 31 countries and in addition to the UK, has offices in Spain, France, Germany, the US and Australia. It is looking to have a presence in 50 countries by the end of the financial year.

Hussain said: “The opening of our second office in Birmingham is a major step in our rapid expansion. We are entering an exciting phase as our newly established international websites are performing strongly, and the expanding team will strengthen our international footprint further.”

Mobile Fun head of international Richard Moored added: “We are continuing to grow and with this comes job creation for Birmingham and our in-country international teams. By tapping into the international graduate and student population, as well as recruiting experienced employees, we will be able to secure the talent we need to maintain our market-leading position.”
