Mobile Fun reports record turnover and profit figures

Online retailer for mobile accessories sees international sales surge by 45 per cent to £4.9 million, with profits up 28.3 per cent to £1.1 million

Mobile Fun has announced record turnover and profit figures in its full year results for the last financial year.

The online retailer of mobile accessories saw total sales increase by 14.7 per cent to £11.5 million with international sales up 45 per cent to £4.9 million, accounting for 42.3 per cent of all sales.

Profit rose by 28.3 per cent to £1.1 million. Total group orders increased by 17.2 per cent to 465,847, with orders on international websites up 58.6 per cent to 156.532.

Total monthly website visits for the year were up by 40.8 per cent, with an average of 2.9 million monthly website visits received during the year.

The company launched in 22 new countries during the 12 month period and in total now has a presence in 27 countries, with 22 new websites launched. Employee numbers also increased from 70 to 82.

The strength of the consumer smartphone market is driving demand, and we’ve been able to capitalise on this by giving customers what they really care about – a wide choice of mobile accessories and fast delivery.

Our newly established websites are performing strongly and introducing the Mobile Fun brand to new customers across Europe, Asia and America.  We are positive in our outlook for the year ahead – our successful international strategy will continue, and we are putting in place exciting new plans for further growth.”
