Dossa replaces Send For Help founder and CEO James Murray

Ex-Brightstar UK managing director Naz Dossa has become CEO of the Send for Help group, which claims to be the largest provider of lone worker protection solutions in the UK and Europe.

Dossa, who was replaced in the Brightstar MD role by Mark Mitchinson back in October, originally joined Send for Help as chief commercial officer in 2020, before his promotion on June 22.

The Send for Help Group is an Epsom-based company comprised of its three subsidiaries, Skyguard, Guardian24 and Peoplesafe. It claims to serve more than 150,000 end users across a variety of sectors, providing lone worker solutions for more than 180 NHS trusts, 250 Local Authorities, and 300 Housing Associations.

Other clients include several UK police forces, Yorkshire Water, and LNER. Recently, Send For Help was listed 36th in the Sunday Times‘ Profit Track League table, which ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest growing profits over the past three years.

Last year, the group was acquired by private equity firm ECI Partners, with a view to international expansion. Previous CEO and founder James Murray has left to pursue new opportunities.

Commenting on his appointment, Dossa said: “The business provides critical services to people who are potentially at risk and we take this responsibility very seriously. These services, coupled with the coronavirus crisis, have become more critical to safeguard employees from risk, providing them with better outcomes in the case of an emergency, as well as – where possible – helping them to avoid emergencies completely. We are perfectly positioned to help both public and private sector organisations fulfil their duty of care obligations.”

In a statement, the Send For Help group said: “Having initially joined the business in February 2020 as chief commercial officer, Naz has shown strong leadership over the last few months during the coronavirus crisis, proving that he is the right person to lead the Group on a permanent basis.”
