O2 MVNO Tribe is collaborating with cash back app Upside to analyse customer data and offer mobile contracts without credit checks.
Upside launched last year and uses artificial intelligence to analyst customer value for each brand and spend category.
It has developed an open banking-enabled, marketing platform which connects retail brands with consumers by offering personalised and frictionless cash-back.
Upside users connect their bank accounts, which allows the platform to analyse their banking transactions and up to 36 months’ historical data Spending data rated to provide anonymised actionable insights, without breaching customers’ trust.
In exchange for Open Banking data, users earn cash-back. The consented spending data enables retailers to deliver relevant offers.
Upside data will allow pay monthly mobile services that may have previously been unobtainable to many customers who otherwise would not fulfil; usual credit criteria.
