December 15, 2010 predicting an increase on its 340 per cent sales growth by year end after topping Sunday Times FastTrack listing

Online phone retailer has been ranked at number one in the Sunday Times Virgin FastTrack 100 after posting sales growths of over 340 per cent since 2006.

The Derbyshire based retailer, which was founded in 1997 and went online in 2003, expects to post increased sales figures “which are in the high thirties to £40 million” by the end of 2010, owner Paul Sisson said. Sales in 2006 stood at £288,000 and at £24.5 million last year.

The business took its one millionth order in the summer and followed this up with its most successful trading day ever on December 6, however Sisson said he would not reveal the sales figures until a later date. success according to Sisson can be put down to good marketing, the reluctance to offer “ridiculously low” margins and growing relationships with operators.

“Currently people are all buying their first smartphones, so this has been good for our business,” Sisson said.

“We have also been around for a few years now so we get noticed in Google searches and our three year shirt sponsorship deal with Derby County Football Club has helped to get our name out there.

“We enjoy a good relationship with T-Mobile and Orange – currently a bit more than half our contracts go to both of them. We are also growing our partnership with Three and Vodafone.”
