Vodafone platinum dealer partners solely with network as it decides to leave the top tier of Orange’s partner programme

Solihull-based dealer Phonebox has decided to partner solely with Vodafone, leading to its exit from the Orange Principal Partner scheme.

It leaves Voice Mobile, Scancom, The Phone Shop (Midlands), Sprint Communications Systems and General Communications remaining in the top tier of Orange’s dealer programme.

The Vodafone platinum partner said it wanted to mirror the operator’s appetite to grow its market share; news that has been well received by both customers and employees.

It added it sees the value in being in Vodafone’s highest tier of their partner programme, with enhanced services and training coupled with additional dedicated support meaning not only can it acquire new business but can also draw on significant resource to service and retain those customers.

Phonebox managing director Nigel Harrison (pictured) said: “Vodafone is the brand of choice in the SME/corporate market place and we see them as the obvious choice to partner with in order to continue with our strategy of growth especially with unified communications. We’re about to post our best year ever results and last month had the busiest month ever with around 2000 connections.”

Vodafone Partner Services channel head Joe Llewellyn said: “It’s great to have Phonebox fully onboard with Vodafone and our goals aligned – not only do they understand the opportunity that unified communications offers to its business and customers, but it also has an award-winning team that continues to go the extra mile in winning and retaining their customers.”
