Retailer strikes exclusive deal to sell the Bold 9900, Curve 9360 and Torch 9810 in white, as well as the Curve 9300 in pink, in the weeks leading up to Christmas

Phones 4U has made three of Research In Motion’s (RIM’s) smartphones running off the new BlackBerry 7 operating system – the Bold 9900, Curve 9360 and 9810 – available to pre-order in white. A pink variant of the Curve 9300 is also being made available.

The retailer said research carried out by its online, co-creative consumer panel, uBar, had found that owning a white mobile phone is one of the most popular and desired colour variants.

The Bold 9900 (pictured left) will go on sale on November 10 and will be free on a £32 a month contract, while the 9360 (pictured right) will be available on October 29 and will be free on Orange and T-Mobile contracts from £20.50 a month.

The Torch 9810 (pictured centre) goes on sale on November 1 and will be free on contract from £31 a month across a choice of networks. The pink Curve 9300 also goes on sale on November 1, available for free from a choice of networks for £15.50 a month. It will also be available on prepay for £159.95.

Phones 4U trading director Scott Hooton said: “Phones 4U’s excellent track record of successfully launching new smartphones for our partners leaves me confident that the exclusive colour additions to our BlackBerry range of smartphones will emulate our previous success and be a huge hit with our customers.:
