The acquisition follows the recent addition of Rainbow Communications earlier this month

Radius Payment Solutions has acquired business technology provider the Frontier Group.

The move sees the fuel card and telematics giant continue its telecoms push, while expanding its presence in the north-east of the country.

The latest takeover follows the company’s acquisitions of Belfast-based Rainbow Communications earlier this month and Connect Total Communications last year.

Earlier, Radius also acquired telecoms dealer Pure Telecom and business telecoms provider Trinity Maxwell.

Founded in 2010, Frontier Group specialises in mobile, connectivity and IT solutions from its base in North Shields near Newcastle, supporting small to medium-sized businesses.

The company has also developed a specialist division that supplies tailored telecoms services to the care industry.

Frontier Group supports more than 16,000 users in the care industry with mobile devices, tablets, connectivity, IoT and remote working solutions.

Fast-growing

Commenting on the acquisition, Radius Connect managing director Ray Ferris said: “Frontier is a fast-growing business that has carved out a niche offering within the care industry and compliments our growth agenda perfectly.

“Frontier Group has established strong partnerships in growing sectors and we look forward to working with the existing team.”

Radius Payment Solutions CEO Bill Holmes commented: “The Frontier Group is a thriving regional business. We are really looking forward to working with Andy and the team to continue this success and innovate further with new products and services over the years ahead.”
