Former Vodafone-man Foley joins from CarTrawler

Sim Local has announced the appointment of Paul Foley as its new chief digital development officer.

Foley joins the SIM provider with the role of developing Sim Local’s eSIM capabilities across all areas of the digital travel ecosystem.

He joins from CarTrawler, where he was director of partner management and has previously held roles for Vodafone, Deloitte and PwC.

His appointment closely follows that of Ian Rankin as chief trading officer last month.

Commenting on his new role, Foley said: “I am excited to be joining the team at Sim Local.

“Joining a focused tech-ready organisation in the travel telecom market just as it is about to experience a major tech disruption represents a unique opportunity and I look forward to helping Sim Local maximise the commercial impact of its eSIM capabilities.”

Currently Sim Local has points of sale for its SIM card offering at over 150 locations globally.

These SIM cards can be purchased from travel affiliates of SIM Local including WHSmith and InMotion, plus Sim Local stores and vending machines found in airports worldwide.
