Dunlop will lead TalkTalk’s full fibre rollout

Former iD Mobile managing director Adam Dunlop is to takeover as TalkTalk Group’s new managing director of supply and partnerships.

Dunlop will start the role on January 17 after spending close to eight years at Dixons Carphone, during which time he led the launch of the MVNO business iD Mobile.

His new role at TalkTalk Group will see Dunlop tasked with growing the firms full fibre rollout.

He was also lead relationships with the UK’s major fibre builders and work towards the copper switch off.

During his time at iD Mobile he helped the MVNO reach one million customers in less than four years, following its launch in May 2015.

His arrival comes as TalkTalk Group head of wholesale consumer services Jan Collins takes the lead on fibre partnerships, where she will report to Dunlop.

Commenting on his new job, Dunlop said: “TalkTalk has always tried to do something different from the competition – much needed in our industry. I’m looking forward to leading TalkTalk’s vital relationships with Openreach, CityFibre and other infrastructure players.

“We are perfectly positioned to benefit from increasing build competition, so we can democratise full fibre for our customers and partners across the UK.”

TalkTalk CEO Tristia Harrison added: “Having someone with Adam’s experience of building challenger brands in the telco sector will be of great benefit as we work with our build partners to accelerate our full fibre roll out, and I welcome him to TalkTalk.

“Jan’s experience too will be a great asset to us as she develops our crucial relationships with fibre builders”.
