New offices and staff members being added to support growth at the firm

Vodafone Gold Partner Think Telecom Solutions has identified cross-selling opportunities as a big growth opportunity over the next 12 months, following an expansion to the firm’s premises to support its expanding team.

The Lewes-based firm manages a base of 25,000 connections across mobile and fixed line predominantly on the Vodafone (60 per cent) and O2 (20 per cent) networks. The acquisition of adjoining premises has seen it expand its footprint to 270 square metres and carry out an extensive refit.

“We had to expand our phone-based new business team, which is just down to the volume of customers,” Think Telecom director Andrew Holden told Mobile News. “The more customers you have, the more headcount (you need). We’ve got 19 staff now and are recruiting for two more account managers and another telesales person.

The £2 million turnover company says its “core emphasis” is on local customers including Harveys Brewery and solicitors Adams and Remers, but the next year will see an increased emphasis on Vodafone One Net and cross-selling into its base.

“We are running into about 15 per cent cross sell between mobile and fixed-line so we want to get that up to about 25 per cent over the coming 12 months. We’re sitting more and more fixed-line only appointments with the push for Vodafone ex-Cable and Wireless we’re being incentivised to allow them to provide our wholesale lines and calls hosted services.

“We’re being incentivised by them to sell more services from them – so to cross over those platforms so with Vodafone’s acquisition of Cable and Wireless they’re on a journey to get dealers to resell as many products as possible.
