Offer is first major B2B initiative since new business MD appointment

Three UK has unveiled its Business Boost mobile offer for SMEs, as the MNO looks to strengthen its B2B offerings.

The operator is offering 10 SIM-only plans for £20. Each plan offers unlimited calls and texts with 2GB of data, on a 30-day contract. It is available for new and existing businesses looking to upgrade until March 26, 2021.

As standard, the SIMs also come with benefits from Three’s Three Means Business proposition, in partnership with website development firm Wix, accounting software FreshBooks, design company MOO, and workspace company WeWork.

These companies offer special promotional officers to Three’s SME customers, as well as limited-time discounts and free subscriptions.

Business Boost is Three’s first major public SME initiative since the appointment of Mike Tomlinson as managing director of business. The operator is looking to increase its negligible B2B market share under the stewardship of Robert Finnegan.

Finnegan, who became Three UK CEO this year, and has been Three Ireland CEO since 2005, has overseen Three Ireland’s B2B market share climb to 40 per cent during his time in the role.

“This year has been more challenging than any of us could have imagined, in particular for small and local businesses,” said Tomlinson. “We understand that mobile connectivity is critical as we change our ways of working and stay as flexible as possible, which is why we have adapted our offering to small businesses at this time.

“We believe that ‘Business Boost’ offers outstanding value and flexibility for our customers when they need it most. From the self-employed, local shops and cafes, to the businesses building up local delivery services, everyone deserves a boost this year.”
