Complaints began at 11:30 last night

Update: Three has said its network issues are ongoing, and have given customers some advice to try to alleviate their connectivity issues.

A spokesperson said: “Following technical difficulties with our services across voice, text and data, some customers will be experiencing an intermittent service.

“Our engineers are working to fix the issue and the service is returning to normal, and we expect it to be resolved over the course of the day.

“We advise our customers to turn their phones off and on or turn airplane mode on and off, which may resolve the issue.”

Original: Three’s network has been down since late last night, leaving its customers without data or signal.

According to outage detecting website Downdetector, there was a large increase in reported problems to Three from around 11:30 last night onwards.

These complaints decreased somewhat throughout the night, before increasing until around 8:00 this morning, when they started to decline.

Three’s site is also currently down for maintenance at the time of publication.

Three’s outage makes it the second operator to have had a large-scale issue impact its customers in the past week, after Vodafone erroneously charged its customers who were abroad excessive roaming fees.

A spokesperson said: “Three is currently experiencing technical difficulties with our services across voice, text and data which means that some customers will be experiencing an intermittent service.

“Our engineers are working on the issue now to fix the problem as soon as possible. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to our customers.”
