TMT First has signed a deal with delivery company Dynamic Parcel Distribution (DPD) in a move it claims will set it up “to compete for more business than ever in 2016”.

It will see DPD, which has its head office located in Oldbury, West Midlands, take over from a number of different delivery companies the mobile service and repair firm had been using previously.

TMT First said that by partnering with DPD, it will be able to offer its customers a number of benefits, such as one hour delivery and weekend delivery, as well as access to a parcel shop network of over 2,000 UK outlets, enabling them to receive their parcel within 24 hours.

Compete for more business

Managing director Adam Whitehouse said: “DPD are the natural partner for TMT First. They are dedicated to customer service excellence and investing in technology to provide best in class solutions, as are TMT First.

“With our new HQ and new delivery partner, we are set up to compete for more business than ever in 2016.”

Last month TMT First, which is planning to grow employee numbers by almost a third to 100 this year, moved into a new 40,000 square foot head office, relocating from Stoke-on-Tent to Vodafone’s former call centre in nearby Newcastle-under-Lyme. Customers include Brightstar, Carphone Warehouse, Data Select, Exertis, Nokia and Sony Mobile.

DPD employs over 9,300 people operating more than 3,500 vehicles from over 52 locations, servicing some 6,500 customers with the delivery of 190 million parcels each year. Last year it was voted top in both the Which? and MoneySavingExpert customer satisfaction polls for the third year running.
