TMT First readies “aggressive” growth plans for 2016

Relocation to HQ double the size with plans to increase staff numbers by almost half to 100 before the end of next year

TMT First has moved to a new 40,000 square foot head office as part of major expansion and growth plans for 2016.

The mobile service and repair firm has relocated from Stoke-on-Trent to Vodafone’s former call centre (pictured) in nearby Newcastle-under-Lyme (Holditch House) after more than nine years.

Managing director Adam Whitehouse said the company had outgrown its previous dwellings due to the rise in business over the past six years. Its customers include Carphone Warehouse, Virgin Media, Brightstar, Exertis, Data Select, Microsoft, Nokia and Sony Mobile.

Growth strategy

Whitehouse said the new offices, which have been renovated over the past six months, will allow for the company’s plans to increase staff from 70 to above 100 in 2016, as well as enable it to expand its service offerings – although he refused to provide details at this stage.

“We have put in place an aggressive growth strategy for the next two years,” said Whitehouse.

“We have grown every year since 2006 and plan to further expand our core business pillars of reverse logistics, outsourced fulfilment and customisation and configuration. We are creating a facility which our vendor, retailer and distribution partners will truly benefit from.”

New appointment

TMT has appointed former Brightstar, Exertis and Phones 4u executive Ian Tunstall as sales manager.

He joins from Brightstar, where he was head of B2B sales for three years. Prior to that, he was general sales manager for mobile division at Exertis for more than two years and worked within sales at Phones 4u for four years.

Whitehouse said: “Ian joins our growing sales team to help TMT First achieve our goals.”
