Truphone partners with reseller RoamingExpert in World Network deal

RoamingExpert’s range of tariffs will now include the Vodafone MVNOs World Network offer that covers more than 200 countries

International MVNO Truphone has partnered with SIM-reseller RoamingExpert to sell its World Network tariff.

RoamingExpert will now sell SIM-cards with Truphone’s roaming package, which offers multiple numbers on one SIM, and reduced roaming costs in more than 200 countries.

The MVNO, which is part owned by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and fellow Russian billionaire Alexander Abramov, runs on Vodafone in the UK.

Truphone head of indirect Ian Cairns said: “The partnership with RoamingExpert is a significant win for Truphone as it’s a truly global partnership. RoamingExpert brings their expertise to their end clients and will be selling in the UK, Spain, USA, Germany and Holland initially, with Hong Kong, Australia and Poland to follow.

“We are excited to be partnering with RoamingExpert and look forward to providing excellent mobile and data coverage, as well as our service to their customers.”

More sectors

RoamingExpert resells SIMs into multiple industries, including Aerospace, Marine, Oli and Gas, and Yachting. It claims it can as much as halve bills for international businesses by offering better roaming prices than mobile operators.

RoamingExpert MD Mark Pattman claimed the partnership would now allow it offer packages for businesses based outside of the UK.

“We already look after the mobile contracts for the UK branches of some large international companies, now with our partnership in place we can quote for an international company as a whole.

“As our partnership with Truphone grows RoamingExpert will look at expanding our mobile service into new sectors, as the need for affordable roaming solutions is a big issue for many companies worldwide.”
