Virgin Media O2 Q3 2022 results reveal continuous customer growth

There are now one million customers on converged ‘Volt’ bundles less than a year since it launched

Virgin Media O2 has published its Q3 2022 financial results which shows a growth in fixed line, broadband, convergence and mobile customers.

Its fixed-line customer base grew by 12,300 in the third quarter of 2022 and still stands at 5.8m, while 19,100 broadband connections were added.

Virgin Media O2’s retail mobile connections stand at 33m with 628,700 connections added in Q3 2022- and its mobile contract base stands at 16m after adding 46,500 contacts this quarter. 

The company has invested £570m in network infrastructure and customer experience in Q3 and its 5G network is available in over 800 towns and cities which is on track to reach 50 per cent of the UK population in 2023.

As well as this, Virgin Media O2 has enhanced its social tariff measures for those receiving Universal Credit by dropping the price to £12.50 for standard Essential Broadband and will introduce an Essential Broadband Plus tier at 50Mbps for £20 in November.
