Vodafone has launched Call+, a free service designed to enrich the experience of its customers’ voice calls.

Before calling another user, customers can add additional information such as the subject of the call and its level of importance, as well as their location or attach a picture, all of which will flash up on the recipient’s screen.

During a call, they can share pictures and location in real time, draw on a map or photo or switch to a video call.

If the recipient doesn’t answer, customers can add a text note to the call to explain what they are phoning about, which will be attached to the missed call alert. They can also attach an audio message.

Post call, everything shared before or during the call is available on an interactive call log for both parties.

Call+ is integrated into the calling functions of the sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact (delivered through an over-the-air firmware update), and on the Xperia Z5 and Z5, which launch on Monday.

Other users can download it for free from the Google Play stores.
