Details were unveiled at its global headquarters in London to mark the opening of its ‘Aurora’ customer innovation showcase

BT has revealed a new charter for its 1.2 million UK businesses and public sector customers.

This will consist of new commitments to provide its enterprise customers with a plan for growth, including investing £100 million over the next three years in BT’s division X unit and pioneering a new suite of smart business tools.

The charter reflects four key priorities for BT to serve its UK customers; fast track technology innovation, expertise, customer experiences to make it easy to do business with, and purpose-driven approaches.

BT Group CEO of enterprise Rob Shuter said: “It’s an ideal time for us to set out why BT really means business.

“Our new charter reflects the priorities that our 1.2m business and public customers expect to see from BT.

“We’ve listened to their feedback and based our Charter on four key promises – that we’ll lead the way in innovation; we’ll be trusted experts in our fields; we’ll be easier to do business with; and we’ll continue to put purpose at the heart of our business.”

The ‘Aurora’ showcase highlights BT’s latest R&D around enterprise solutions which incorporates 5G, IoT, robotics and AI and how this can be applied across society and industries.
