EE crowned best network in London for sixth-time running

This is the sixth time EE has come on top of Rootmetrics testing in London

EE has been crowned the best network in London for the sixth time running in the latest round of Rootmetrics tests.

Overall, EE came first with 93.4 out of 100. Vodafone followed with 89.6, O2 had 88.2 and Three was given a score of 87.7. These scores were determined by how reliable each network was for speed, text messaging and mobile internet performance.

This is the seventh test Rootmetrics has conducted in London, with EE coming on top in six of them. More than 70,000 samples were collected in outdoor and indoor areas across London.

In terms of network reliability, EE came on top with a score of 94.8. Following behind EE was Three (93.1), Vodafone (91.6) and O2 (90.1).

EE came on top again when it came to network speed, with a score of 91 out of 100. Vodafone came second with 85, O2 third with 80 and Three last with 71.2. According to Rootmetrics, EE had the fastest download (23.7Mbps) and upload speeds (10.6Mbps) out of all the networks.

In the mobile internet performance category, EE dominated with a score of 94.5 out of 100. Vodafone came second with 89.8, Three came third with 85.6 and O2 last with 85.1.

O2 and EE both tied for best texting performance with scores of over 97. Three scored 96.3 out of 100 whilst Vodafone came last with a score of 94.3
