EE dominates Ofcom performance test
The regulator assessed all UK networks for download and upload speeds across five English cities

EE claims its set top TV service is now the first in the UK to enable remote viewing of free to view content.
The new ‘Recordings To Go’ feature enables EE TV users to record free to view programmes to their mobile or tablet. They can also manage recordings whilst out of the house using the EE TV app. EE TV has over 70 free to view channels available, including BBC iPlayer, Demand 5 and YouTube.
There is also a number of subscription based programming, including NOW TV, but these are exempt from the Record To Go function.
Recorded programmes can be transferred to a mobile device the moment they have finished airing. There is no expiry date on recorded programmes. They will only leave the user’s device when they decide to delete them.
CCS Insight multiplay and media director Paolo Pescatore claims the number of users watching video on the go is set to rise. He said: “More and more people are watching video on the go. EE should be applauded for this latest move.
“Despite being acquired by BT, the company continues to bring new innovative features to EE TV. The latest update will resonate with users as it extends the EE TV experience outside of the home. Users will now be able to watch TV shows anywhere, which is significant for a mobile centric TV service.”
