Man arrested following assault on former Phones 4U boss John Caudwell at his home on Monday evening
A man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary following a break-in at former Phones 4U boss John Caudwell’s Broughton Hall home, in which he sustained a head injury.
The arrested man, from Liverpool, was detained in custody by Merseyside Police before being transferred to Stoke-on-Trent, where he was remanded in custody overnight on Wednesday by Staffordshire Police.
Caudwell was at home with partner Claire Johnson and a female employee on Monday evening when masked men burst into his property and stole cash and jewellery. Caudwell was assaulted in the robbery, and required medical treatment to a one-inch gash on his forehead.
