Samsung is to raise donations for Breakthrough Breast Cancer through sales of its products at the retailer

Samsung has partnered with Phones 4U to support the Pink Ribbon campaign and help drive awareness of breast cancer in the UK.

Ten pounds from the sale of every Galaxy Tab, which goes on sale on November 1, and Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S smartphone, and five pounds from all other Samsung handsets available from Phones 4U will be donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Donations from handset sales via, or through Phones 4U call centres will be made throughout October and November.

The partnership is the latest in Samsung’s commitment to raise awareness via its ‘More Than Talk’ campaign, with the aim of making 400,000 women breast aware this year.

Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland managing director Simon Stanford said: “In addition to the new Galaxy Tab, our flagship Galaxy S smartphone and range of mobile phones, our More Than Talk viral campaign helps educate women about the importance of breast awareness.”
