London commuters to get the opportunity to try out the table device for two-days before it goes on sale next month

Samsung is enabling commuters in London to have a two-day loan of its Galaxy Tab device before it goes on sale in the UK on November 1.

From October 18, a limited number of Galaxy Tabs will be available for loan over a two-week period from one of four London Underground tube stations: Liverpool Street, Balham, Highbury and Islington and Ealing Broadway.

Each device will be lent for 48 hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week. Interested people should apply by sending an email to or speak to a member of the Galaxy Tab team outside one of the tube stations. Registration opens from 8am tomorrow (October 15).

Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland managing director Simon Stanford said: “The portability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab is one of its key features. We thought what better way to showcase this than to give Londoners the opportunity to test the Galaxy Tab for themselves before they can buy them in the shops. We’re keen to hear what they have to say.”

The Galaxy Tab is released on November 1 across all major networks, high street and out of town electrical retailers and via online channels such as Carphone Warehouse, Dixons Store Group and T-Mobile.
