Daisy Wholesales gets new management team built from Murphx board to drive UC growth
A new management team has been put in place at Daisy Wholesale to drive opportunities for unified communications through the reseller community.
Daisy Wholesale has made a number of acquisitions in the last year, including Murphx, Your Network Solutions and Cole Robert Co. These have now been integrated into Daisy Wholesale and a new management team put in place to lead the enlarged company going forward.
The new management team will be formed from Murphx’s former management team, including Carl Churchill (pictured) who was commercial director at Murphx and has now been appointed as managing director of Daisy Wholesale. He will work alongside former Murphx board members Richard Jay, perviously chief executive officer; Nicki Jay, formerly operations director; and Ben Murphy, who was chief technology officer at Murphx.
It is understood current Daisy Wholesale managing director Rob Sims will leave his position in the coming weeks to pursue other opportunities.
The new management team will lead a 100-strong combined workforce of Daisy and Murphx employees, with further expansion planned. Daisy Wholesale will support 850 channel partners with a unified communications package of services including mobile, data, networks and systems.
Through the new-look Daisy Wholesale resellers will be able to access fixed line, broadband and next-generation network services; resell O2 voice and data; offer VPN, hosting and leased line services to their customers; and provide installation, programming and maintenance services.
Churchill said: “As resellers demand more from communications providers we have created a business that occupies a strong position in the channel.”
Daisy Group chief executive officer Matthew Riley said: “We want to help build and grow resellers’ businesses through innovation and entrepreneurial experience.
“With the drive and enthusiasm of the Murphx team, these are exciting times for Daisy Wholesale and our resellers.”
