Deal will see IP telephony and unified communications rolled out across the University of Westminster’s London campuses
West Midlands IP communications provider Amillan as been selected by the University of Westminster (UW) to carry out significant communication solutions across its London campuses.
The deal is worth £750,000 and will see a range of IP telephony and unified communications services installed at the university by the middle of the year.
The Alcatel-Lucent solution to be provided by Amillan will allow the university’s 3,00 employees access to the range of services based on their individual requirements.
Amillan has already completed an initial IP telephony rollout to 400 UW staff as part of the university’s restructuring project.
Amillan key account director Martin Ratcliffe said: “With such a varied user base, from technical support staff to academics, staff buy-in is crucial to project success.
“The deployment at the new office has served as a useful and successful trial to bring staff on-board, and as unified communications tools are rolled out, we will continue to work with individuals, ensuring everyone is comfortable with the technology they’re using.”
