TalkTalk B2B division Opal partners with T-Mobile to offer mobile broadband to customers
TalkTalk’s business division Opal has signed an exclusive partnership with T-Mobile to offer mobile broadband to its customers.
Opal’s mobile broadband will be brought to market in partnership with T-Mobile, whose dongle hardware has won numerous awards, including Best Mobile Broadband in the 2009 What Mobile awards, the sister title to Mobile News.
Mobile broadband costs £6 per month from Opal, with a charge of £6 for every gigabyte of data used over the 1GB of allowance provided. Opal claims this is significantly cheaper than a comparable offer from BT, who could charge up to £100 for a gigabyte of overuse, based on a charge of 10p per megabyte.
Mobile broadband can also be twinned with Opal’s fixed line broadband product, Opal Office Broadband, or with its Office Caller fixed line telephone package.
Opal described the addition o mobile broadband to its portfolio as ‘market-disruptive’, with director of small business Chris Collinson saying: “The new mobile broadband product is the latest move by Opal to further strengthen our business broadband and voice offering, by constantly innovating and adding value for our customers.
“By partnering with T-Mobile, users benefit not only from access to next generation connectivity via the Opal network, but also T-Mobile’s continually tested and improved mobile network, which ensures fast speeds coupled with strong and reliable coverage.
Collinson added: “By adding mobility to their existing package, users are able to be more productive, enabling businesses to benefit from significant time and cost savings.”
