The WiFi service will give airline passengers travelling through Exeter Airport up to an hour of free WiFi access
Distributor Arqiva is now offering its WiFi services to airline passenger who travel through Exeter Airport.
The unified comms distributor’s new partnership with Exeter Airport means that passengers travelling through the airport will get an hour of free WiFi across all areas of the terminal building. WiFi access after this period will cost £3 per hour or £5 per hour.
Before this, travellers were only able to access up to thirty minutes of free WiFi in departure lounge areas. The UC distributor currently delivers its WiFi services to 21 of the UK’s largest airports.
Since introducing flights to London City Airport, passenger numbers at Exeter increased to 700,000 in 2014. The airport began serving direct flights to and from Glasgow in August 2015.
Exeter International Airport communications manager Stephen Ayres said: “As connectivity becomes increasingly important to our daily lives, today’s travellers expect to be able to get online at every stage in their journey. At Exeter Airport we are committed to providing the best possible visitor experience and a fast and reliable public WiFi connection is a crucial part of that.”
