HTC has appointed Nokia and Microsoft veteran Greig Williams as VP of sales for Europe.

He is responsible for business development, demand generation and sales strategy development for HTC in markets across the continent, and directly leads the UK region as well as supporting the global accounts and the Nordic, Benelux and Iberia regions.

Williams takes over UK market responsibilities from Peter Frolund, who held the position for three years and has now fully transitioned to his role driving sales of HTC’s VR headset, Vive, in Europe.

Prior to taking up his new position, Williams spent 12 years at Nokia and most recently was VP of Microsoft Mobile in Western Europe.

HTC said his “strong sales background in the European mobile device industry will be a great addition” to it.
