Exclusive: Genuine Solutions appoints Andy Tow as new MD

Fellow managing director Bav Majithia now takes up a more strategic and sales-focused role 

Genuine Solutions has appointed industry veteran Andy Tow as its new managing director.

Tow, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the telecoms industry, joins the senior management board of the Surrey-based distribution and recycling firm alongside CEO Christian McBride and joint managing director Bav Majithia, who now takes a more strategic and sales-focused role.

McBride told Mobile News: “It is critical we employed an experienced and talented professional who can lead the company through its next growth phase.”

Tow had previously spent a year at Vodafone Platinum Partner Excalibur Communications, first as chief commercial officer and then managing director.

He told Mobile News he was, “relishing the challenge of developing the business’ strategy and leading the organisation through its next exciting development phase”.

Mainline appointment

Meanwhile, EE has also confirmed its former head of public sector Martin Tufft has been appointed as the new managing director of Mainline Digital Communications.

Tufft, who has 26 years’ experience in the industry, has been in temporary charge alongside Mainline finance and commercial director Stephen Chandler (who left in October) since June, following the departure of former managing director Andrew Boden.

Boden had been with Mainline for 23 years, leaving just six month after EE took full ownership of the EE exclusive airtime distributor in full, having previously had a 26 per cent stake.
