CCS Mobile, One Point Comms, Pescado, Unified World and Totility move up to the top tier of operator’s dealer programme

Vodafone has promoted five of its gold partners to platinum status and relegated two, following its latest performance review.

Those promoted are CCS Mobile, One Point Comms, Pescado, Unified World and Totility.

All dealers will remain platinum for a minimum of one year before the next review in April next year.

Partners understood to have been relegated from its platinum tier include AMC and Fenchurch Communications.

CCS Mobile MD Chris Lee said:    “We always felt we deserved platinum status and this is a natural evolution for us.

“We were told our performance that got us into platinum wouldn’t be enough to keep us in platinum.”

Pescado MD Fraser Watson said: “We are O2 Approved and a business partner with EE, so this does completes the portfolio for us.

“Staying platinum isn’t our top priority as we work for our customers. But Vodafone is making  good decisions at the moment.”

One Point sales director Ash Morarji commented: “We look forward to using our Platinum Partner status to increase business in the future.”

Meanwhile Vodafone has confirmed its UK head of commercial and marketing for terminals, Laurent Bouvier, is leaving his role after 14 years at the operator.

Prior to taking on his current job, Bouvier held head of commercial, head of purchasing and national sales manager, indirect roles at the company.

He is said to have been instrumental in developing Vodafone’s relationships with Samsung and Sony Ericsson, now Sony Mobile.

Bouvier is understood to be leaving to pursue his own projects and has not taken a position with a Vodafone competitor.
