Lee spent close to a year-and-a-half at Oppo

Former Oppo business development director Wilkin Lee has joined Gekko as client services director.

Lee joins the field and retail marketing agency following a year at Oppo, where he helped to develop the brand in the UK.

He started his new role last month and is responsible for overseeing all strategic client relationships.

This role includes ensuring Gekko’s partners receive strategic support and commercial direction to succeed in retail online and in stores.

Lee told Mobile News that the move is a “good step to further his career”.

Aside from Oppo, Lee gained extensive experience in the mobile industry with roles at Huawei, Xiaomi and Nokia.

During his time at Huawei he helped to launch sub-brand Honor in the UK as UK sales and marketing director.

He also played a pivotal role in Xiaomi’s entrance into the UK market in late 2018, before helping Oppo in its infancy stages here.
