Vodafone platinum partner acquires over 1,000 connections from MPC London, following a similar deal with Connection 365 at the end of last month

Olive Communications has acquired 1,200 connections from MPC London for an undisclosed fee.

It is the second dealer base it has bagged in the past six weeks, having acquired 1,000 Vodafone connections from rival dealer Connection 365 at the end of July for an undisclosed fee.

Olive has now moved the base from MPC on to its dealer code.

MPC, a Vodafone silver partner, is expected to remove mobile connections from its offerings and focus on its fixed-line and IP phone systems business.

Three MPC London staff have also joined Olive as part of the agreement and will continue to manage the accounts.

The latest acquisition takes Olive’s total customer base to around 38,000 on Vodafone and around 45,000 in total.

The firm claims it is connecting around 1,600 numbers a month organically.

Olive operations director Kerry Davies (pictured) said: “Just like with the Connection 365 deal, we have acquired around 1,200 subscribers, all on the Vodafone network.

“MPC have a good quality base and have been in the industry for many years.

“It’s another great fit for us and we will continue to explore opportunities in the market.

“We set out our strategy to grow as a business and increase our status with Vodafone.”

Olive has again stated its intention to continue its dealer base acquisition drive, hinting another deal is close to being completed. However, it has refused to name the dealer or dealers in question.

Davies said: “We are close to agreeing another deal, which we are just waiting approval on.  It’s a busy but exciting time at Olive.”
