Samsung in the search for six high-fliers with apprenticeship scheme

New apprenticeship scheme launched with successful candidates starting in September

Samsung has opened a pilot apprentice scheme offering six places. Candidates will be assessed from now until April with successful candidates starting in September.

The one-year programme puts candidates in a corporate environment and participation in development workshops. The scheme is open to penultimate year students. and offers experience in marketing, sales, product management, finance, and customer experience.

Candidates get a ‘competitive salary, performance-related bi-annual bonuses, pension scheme, £50 a month towards a range of health, money and lifestyle benefits, 25 days holiday, and discounts on products.

Samsung people team director Tamas Csejtei commented: “At Samsung, we work to inspire the world and shape the future through nurturing and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow. With many school leavers across the UK keen to start their working lives, we want to provide an alternative way for more young people to find new and exciting career paths through our apprenticeship scheme.

“Not everyone wants or has the means to go to university. So we’re looking to offer both an entry point into the industry with invaluable on-the-job experience as well as formal qualifications. With consumer electronics touching every aspect of our everyday”
